It is with sadness that PKPC recently mourned the passing of one of its long time staff members, Paul Reeves.
Paul started with the MSB (Maritime Services Board) Port Kembla in 1975. He began work as an amenities cleaner at the Pilot Station before becoming a Patrolman for a year or two, then taking up a position as a crewman on the Pilot Vessels.
After gaining certification as a Master 5 Mariner, he worked as a Wharfinger, taking on the role as a relief Master until he was appointed as a Master in the early nineties, and as Master/Engineer in 1995. He worked in that position until his retirement due to illness earlier this year.
He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of working with Paul during that time.
